Teun Strikkers Researcher & advisor

Teun is a researcher and advisor at Drift who strives to co-create a more sustainable world. His work pertains to various fields, including the energy transition, circular economy, and reflexive monitoring. He is interested in combining design and transition studies to further facilitate transitions.

Currently, he works on a project for the Port of Rotterdam regarding the materials transition. In JustWind4all, an EU funded project, Teun uses his background in the energy field. The aim of this project is to improve just (wind) energy transitions. He is also working with reflexive monitoring for DRIFT’s transition academy courses.

Teun has a multidisciplinary background, having completed a B.Sc. in Liberal Arts & Science at Amsterdam University College, focusing on physics, environmental science and programming. He holds a M. Sc. Energy Science from Utrecht University. In his theses, he focused on energy access and increased renewable integration into the power sector using geospatial data. Next to this he completed the Industrial Design Intensive from Umeå Institute of Design, Sweden. Previously, Teun has worked in the solar PV industry working on large scale solar PV plants in the Netherlands as junior project engineer and PV specialist.

In his spare time, Teun likes to work on creative projects and going for a run.
