Carien van der Have is an Advisor and Researcher with a strong interest for circular economy, system thinking and new business models. Using design thinking and system thinking she looks for new ideas and solutions that encourage people to connect and collaborate.
Her current project work includes working towards a Hydrogen vision for the Port of Rotterdam and building a Community Of Innovative Learners (COIL) to accelerate the Energy Transition in the Built Environment.
Carien holds a MSc in Industrial Ecology and a Bsc. in Industrial Design Engineering from Delft University of Technology. She finished her master with a thesis on participatory backcasting for a circular furniture sector for Royal Haskoning DHV. Before joining DRIFT she worked as a project manager at Stichting Het Groene Brein. She is an experienced project manager and facilitator and enjoys visualizing discussions to come to new ideas.
When not at DRIFT, Carien enjoys board- and card games (the faster the better), reading literature and going out sailing or cycling with her family.
