Steering the wind energy transition requires more than technical solutions — it calls for leadership that can navigate complexity, uncertainty, and justice. This new Coursera programme helps you strengthen your transition leadership skills through reflection, practice, and real-world application.
Throughout the programme, you will explore the key modules designed to strengthen your leadership in wind energy transitions. You will examine justice in the energy transition (Module 2), participatory practices with local community members (Module 3), perspectives of other-than-humans (Module 4), alternative ownership and governance models (Module 5), and the management of wicked problems in transitions (Module 6). Each module combines real-world cases from the wind energy sector, insights from international experts, and practical tools to bring diverse perspectives together. Short videos, interactive exercises, and reflective assignments guide you step by step, making the learning accessible, hands-on, and directly applicable to your daily work.
This course is for you if…
…you are involved in shaping the future of wind energy and want to grow as a leader in sustainability transitions. Whether you work in policy, project management, research, or community initiatives, the programme equips you with skills to deal with the complexity of real-world challenges. Even if you are new to transition leadership, the course offers an accessible entry point to develop competences you can immediately apply in your own work.
