Workshop: Systems Thinking for a Resilient Society22 mei, 2019
Next week, the Erasmus Sustainability Hub organises a seminar on systems thinking for resilient societies at the Erasmus campus. DRIFT’er Tessa de Geus will give an introduction on transition studies and set the scene for you to apply systems thinking to your own ideas and work. After the workshop the seminar continues with a panel discussion on the documentary Tomorrow.
This event is part of a short series, which started with the screening of the documentary Tomorrow. In this influential documentary, positive examples of civic initiatives in the sustainability transition are showcased and analysed. This session on ‘Systems thinking for a resilient society’ starts with a workshop by DRIFT’er Tessa de Geus. Tessa will present the Transition studies perspective on systems change and set out some exercises to apply systems change to your own ideas or work. Afterwards, there will be an interactive panel discussion, reflecting the structure of the Tomorrow documentary. Panel members include:
- Agriculture: Maarten Bouten – Rechtstreex Rotterdam;
- Economy: Francis Ostermeijer – Rethinking Economics NL;
- Energy: Duco Coops – TU Delft Energy Club;
- Education: Sascha Bol – Positive Change Initiative at Erasmus University;
