In her work, Marieke focuses on the design and development of sustainable collaboration and learning processes for people engaged in societal transitions. She facilitates in-company transition trainings and learning sessions and translates insights into strategic (organisational) advice. At DRIFT, Marieke is also HR director. In this role, she pays attention to the professional development of colleagues and DRIFT as an organization.
As director of the Partnerships Resource Centre, part of the Rotterdam School of Management (EUR), Marieke has conducted action research with multi-stakeholder partnerships aimed at developing social impact. She has experience in working with public-private partnerships, policy development and process monitoring. Marieke is co-lead of Erasmus University’s Design Impact Transition (DIT) platform, where transformative academic education and research is enabled. Her involvement includes the EUR-wide new Master Societal Transitions and several experimental transdisciplinary research projects, also working with a dynamic learning agenda.
Marieke is a member of the Supervisory Board of Cordaid, a Dutch-based internationally operating emergency relief and development organization. In her free time, Marieke enjoys spending time with her family travelling and eating together. She also enjoys reading, hiking, and dancing.
