Equal and equitable opportunities are the common thread in Farah's work. She prefers to be where policy needs to be translated into practice, because that practice must work for everyone. At DRIFT, she focuses on social issues in the broadest sense.
Farah earned her bachelor's degree in Arts, Culture, and Media at the University of Groningen, specializing in popular music and arts management. She completed her master's degree in Global Business and Stakeholder Management at RSM. Before joining DRIFT, Farah worked as Ecosystem Manager at Voor Goed, a social entrepreneurship advocate, as Program Manager at Venture Café, and as Project Leader at Femmes for Freedom. She also ran her own consultancy aimed at providing support and advice for artists. Additionally, she was involved with Loesje, the girl from the posters, for over 20 years.
Farah brings substantial experience in the non-profit sector in the areas of lobbying and advocacy, system change, and activism. Or, as she prefers to say: creating, enabling, and addressing opportunities. In her free time, Farah studies philosophy, enjoys going to concerts, and tries to perfect her gluten-free sourdough.
