A unique opportunity

The course is given in person by Ginie Servant-Miklos. It consists of four consecutive days in Rotterdam and is taught in English. This course is for you if you want to empower students to generate meaningful societal impact and you want to expand your practice of transformative education.

Learn from Ginie Servant-Miklos, educator and author of Pedagogies of Collapse. This book explores how to teach young people about global crises without triggering denial or despair. Ginie advocates for an honest, trauma-informed approach to learning that blends hope with hard truths. Through personal insights and accessible explanations, she offers a thoughtful path forward in addressing today’s most pressing challenges.

You will learn about Experimental Pedagogics: a powerful and adaptable framework for designing transformative, sustainable education. You’ll also learn how this was used in the context of the Bildung Climate School, the first combined vocational-university education program in the Netherlands. It’s a hands-on course: you’re going to come out of this summer school with an inspiring and fun plan that you can implement in your classroom right away and ideas on how to reach across to types of education you might not normally work with.

"Thank you so much for facilitating your summer school in such an inspiring and personal way. Your approach has truly energized me and given me new tools and ideas to further develop our program and my own teaching. And yes, what a pleasure it is with this beautiful group of people!!"

Lisa de Jonge-'t Hoen (Lecturer General Practice Training, Erasmus Medical Centre)
