Workshop: Design the future of prosumer business models!

24 Mar, 2020

Are you interested in  the future of prosumer business models? Do you want to join a workshop with hands-on experts from across Europe to design a future on this? Apply before Friday March 6th to win a wildcard for an expert workshop on prosumer business models in Lüneburg, Germany!

Leuphana University Lüneburg, University of Leeds and DRIFT organise an  international workshop on the future of business models for prosumers – actors who both produce and consume energy. As subsidy regimes for prosumers are in decline across Europe, prosumers are looking for new business models for the economic viability of projects. The workshop brings together a selected and international group of practitioners and policymakers in a highly interactive setting. Presentations include a keynote on digitalization and prosumer business models by PONTON GmbH.

Building a roadmap
The aim of the session is to build a roadmap for 2030: where do we want the future of prosumer business models to go and what obstacles need to be overcome to get there?  We anticipate on linking these insights to the the national implementation process of the Renewable Energy Directive legislation, which is taking shape across Europe in 2020. Questions that will be discussed include:

  • What does a desirable energy future look like for prosumer business models?
  • Which conditions need to change in order to get there?
  • How can prosumer business models be integrated into European energy systems?
