Convenant of Mayors Webinar: Monitoring and Evaluating Climate Adaptation Actions

26 Nov, 2019

As monitoring climate adaptation action is new for many local authorities, the Convenant of Mayors Webinar on November 26 will present tools to support them. DRIFT will showcase the Reflexive Monitoring approach that was developed in the CONNECTING Nature project.

Following the webinar dedicated on designing an Adaptation Strategy and Action Plan, the next edition of the Convenant of Mayors Webinar series will focus on monitoring and evaluating adaptation actions. A presentation by the Development Agency for Marche Region will show how this Covenant Territorial Coordinator is supporting signatories in the novel task of monitoring through the Life Sec Adapt tool. The webinar will also focus on how signatories can improve the monitoring process itself: DRIFT will showcase the Reflexive Monitoring Approach that is being developed within the CONNECTING Nature project.

About CONNECTING Nature
CONNECTING aims to co-develop the policy and practices necessary to scale up urban resilience, innovation and governance via nature-based solutions. In this project, DRIFT’s team will develop a new masterplanning cycle for city planners and policy makers that will connect experimentation and lessons to ongoing policy and market needs. It will include operational mechanisms to accelerate the scaling of nature based solutions, as well as guiding principles for turning socio-economic and institutional barriers into opportunities.
